The IFC project coordinators Natalia Sipos und Felix Brenner were able to put together two IFC classes for the new school year 2020/21 at the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium consisting of 49 students altogether. Despite challenging times world wide, six international students from four countries - Bulgaria, Namibia, Romania, Spain - have already arrived in beautiful Marbach am Neckar.
Welcome to the International Fellowship Classes. At this point we also want to thank all host families for opening their homes and hearts.
Unfortunately, the IFCs are not complete yet: Amin (Tadjikistan), Dragana (Montenegro), Frank (Argentina) und Gerti (Kosovo) are missing. While Frank has high hopes to head towards Europe any time soon, the other three are currently not being granted entry permits and are therefore unable to participate in the globally unique project at the FSG. Student visas are issued, incomprehensibly visas for pupils are not. Countless mails, calls and the great effort by Eberhard Gienger, Member of the Bundestag, were unsuccessful so far.
To raise awareness, the following online petition was founded: „Dragana (Montenegro), Gerti (Kosovo) und Amin (Tadschikistan) want to be part of the IFC“.
